Check your Google Fi trial eligibility

Before you start a Google Fi trial, ensure you meet the criteria to activate the 7-day service at no charge. This confirms that your device and account are compatible with the trial offer.

Verify eligibility for a Google Fi trial

To be eligible for a Google Fi trial, you must meet the following requirements:

  • New Google Fi user: You must be a new Google Fi user and have never had a Google Fi trial before.
  • Compatible Android device: You need a compatible, unlocked Android device, such as Pixel, Samsung, or OnePlus devices. You can use a compatible physical SIM or a device that supports eSIM.
  • Google Account: You must have an active Google Account.
  • US resident: You must reside in the United States and be 18 years or older.

How to check your eligibility in the app

  1. On your compatible Android device, download and open the Google Fi app.
  2. Select Try Google Fi.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions. The app guides you through a quick eligibility check based on the device and account.
  4. If eligible, you can proceed to set up the trial.
