About inactive account closure

Your Ad Manager account may be deactivated if it hasn't received any ad activity or earnings for 180 days.

If your account is closed, you have to reactivate it to begin using it again.

If you no longer need your account, you may be able to close it.

Given the recent suspension of Google advertising systems in Russia, reactivations for Russian Ad Manager accounts are paused. Learn more.

Why your Ad Manager account was deactivated

If your Ad Manager account has ad activity or earnings, it won't be deactivated. Ad Manager accounts are deactivated due to inactivity as follows:

After 90 days of inactivity

You'll receive an email from Ad Manager to let you know that your account will be deactivated unless it has ad activity or earnings.

After 180 days of inactivity

Your Ad Manager account is deactivated.

Note: If you’re a small business MCM child and your account is deactivated:
  • Your account will need to be reactivated (similar to non-MCM accounts)
  • You’ll have to complete the identity and address verification process prior to monetization if you haven't been verified
  • Your relationships with parents will end and will need to be re-accepted prior to monetization
  • Parents will need to re-onboard any sites / inventory that you wish to monetize

Reactivate your Ad Manager account

Note: Reactivation requires Admin permissions.

To reactivate your account:

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reactivate account
