When you add products to automated discounts, you add a value to the products' minimum price attribute [auto_pricing_min_price]. The combined number of impressions for all products that you add to automated discounts must account for at least 20% of your total product impressions from Shopping ads. After you start using automated discounts, if impressions drop below 20%, you'll be notified in Merchant Centre to fix the issue. If impressions drop to 0%, automated discounts will stop optimising prices for products in your Shopping ads until you fix the issue.
Common causes
- You updated your product data source and some or all of your products no longer have values in the minimum price attribute
[auto_pricing_min_price]. - You added different products to automated discounts and those products don't receive enough impressions in Shopping ads.
- Market changes caused your products to receive fewer or no impressions in Shopping ads.
Fix issues
Add more products or better-performing products to automated discounts:
- If you set up automated discounts in Merchant Centre, follow the steps in Add products to automated discounts.
- If you set up automated discounts with Shopify, follow the steps in Set up automated discounts in Shopify Google & YouTube app.
- If you use a different third-party platform, work with your channel partner as described in Working with third-party platforms and channel partners.
Changes to product details in your data source will be applied within one to two days.

- View reports of your product performance and understand how many products you've added to automated discounts and how they've performed. To do so, go to the Automated discounts tab in the Marketing section. Learn more about viewing your product performance with automated discounts.
- View estimates of your products' click potential to help determine which products you may want to add to automated discounts. To do so, go to the Products tab in the 'Products and shop' section, select the All products tab and go to your list of products, which includes a 'Click potential' column and estimates.
