Updates to and games policy (March 2025)
In March 2025, we will update our Gambling and games policy for improved readability and understanding. The allowed country list for Social casino games has been updated to align with Google's other advertising platform allowances. Single-account targeting of both social casino country groups is now available. These changes will impact what is currently restricted or prohibited per our policies. We will begin enforcing the policy updates on March 25, 2025.

Reducing Product and Sensitive Category Filtering in OpenRTB
Authorized Buyers or Open Bidding partners migrating from Google RTB to OpenRTB protocol may experience increased Product and Sensitive Category bid filtering. This filtering results from differences between IAB Content 1.0 and Google category taxonomies. A setting is now available to choose Google taxonomies in bcat. Reach out to your Account Manager or technical support to enable Google category taxonomy for your account.

Expanded Inventory in Pretargeting for Authorized Buyers
The "Expanded inventory" setting allows you to choose to receive bid requests from inventory that may otherwise be blocked. This inventory was previously available primarily in Programmatic Guaranteed deals but is now extended across all transaction types. Expanded Inventory is off by default. To enable it, navigate to the new ‘Expanded Inventory’ setting in the Pretargeting UI. Learn more about Expanded Inventory for buyers.
