Schedule Interactive reports and set delivery options

You can have reports run on a schedule you set. For example, you can create a report and schedule it to run every Monday at 8:00 AM.

When scheduling a report, you can choose options for delivery notification, sharing, and attachments.

Draft changes you make don’t show in scheduled reports until you publish them. For example, if you add a new metric to a scheduled report, the new metric won’t show in the scheduled report until you publish the updated version.

Schedule a report

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reporting, and then Interactive reports.
  3. Create a new report, or select an existing report, and then click Schedule.
Note: To use "schedule," a report needs at least one metric and must be published
  4. Next to "Schedule", make your selections:
    1. In the "Frequency" menu, select how frequently you want to receive the report, such as "Daily."
    2. In the "Repeat on" menu, select the days or date.
This option is available for the "Weekly" or "Monthly" frequency.
    3. In the "Time" menu, select the time you want to schedule the report for.
    4. In the "Start date" and "End date" menus, make your selections.
Your report will begin running as scheduled on the start date, and will stop on the end date.
  5. Next to "Delivery notification," choose how to receive the report:
Tip: If you choose one of the following email notification options, you can include an attachment and share the report with additional contacts.
    • Always email on the scheduled date: You receive an email indicating report completion on the date you selected.
    • Only email when rows are flagged: You receive an email if the conditions you set for selected flags you created are met. Check the boxes for the flags you want to include.
    • Don’t email: View in Ad Manager: No email is sent. You can view scheduled reports in the table under "Interactive reports."
  6. To share the report with users in your Ad Manager network, under “Who will receive the report?” check one or more boxes:
    • Report owner: Shares the report with the user who created it. This option is checked by default.
    • Others who can access the report in Ad Manager: Shares the report with any network users you add under "Share report." You can add users for sharing before or after scheduling the report. Shows "(0 people)" until you share the report with others. With this option, the owner and users with whom the report is shared will receive a link to the report and the attachment. For details on sharing, visit Share a report.
  7. To include an attachment of the report with your email delivery notification
    1. Next to "Email with attachment," check the box.
    2. Select an available export type, such as CSV, XLSX (Excel), or Google Sheets.
    3. Check the boxes for any additional data you want to include in the report. Options include:
      • Include report properties (selected by default): Includes report details — such as report name, run time, and filters — that appear at the top of CSV files and in a separate tab for Google Sheets and Excel files.
      • Include fields added for formatting: Includes ID fields and end dates related to certain dimensions such as line items and ad units.
      • Include totals row: Includes a row with the total for count metrics, or the average for percentage and rate driven metrics.
      • Use API column names: Includes the API column name (such as COUNTRY_NAME) in the header row instead of the localized name (such as "Country"). Learn more about API column names in the API Developer docs.
    4. To send the attachment to contacts, click Send attachment to additional recipients and enter their email address or select them from the list. This option is useful for sharing the report with contacts who lack access to the Ad Manager interface or reporting permissions.
  8. Click Save.

To cancel a scheduled report, under "Frequency," select None and then Save.

View your scheduled reports

You can review all your scheduled reports on the "Interactive reports" page. The process is similar to viewing any of your Interactive reports, with a few additional options for scheduled reports:

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Reporting and then Interactive reports.
  3. To view how frequently a scheduled report runs, check the "Schedule" column.
    Unscheduled reports show "-".
  4. To view past runs of a scheduled report, next to the report name, click Expand or view more.
By default, the first 8 runs of the last 40 days are shown. To view up to 20 runs, you can click View more. Note that "expired" runs of the report don’t show.
  5. To review the previous results, under "Scheduled runs," click a date.
Tip: In the results, use the filter and sort options to organize the data for review. Learn more about changing the report layout, which applies to past runs of scheduled reports as well.
