Step 1. Set up your devices

Set up your streaming device:

Set up Google TV Streamer
Set up Chromecast with Google TV
Set up Chromecast (3rd gen or older)

Go to YouTube TV on a web browser.

Click Cast in the video player.

Make sure you're connected to the internet. YouTube TV requires a connection of at least 3 Mbps for optimal experience.
Restart your Wi-Fi connection.
Change the video quality to a lower setting. Select Settings in the video player Quality.
Close the video player, reopen it, and try to watch the video again.

Turn on Local Network (MacOS 15 and later)

On your Mac computer (MacOS 15 or later), open System Settings.
Select Privacy & Security Local Network. You’ll find a list of apps.
Turn on Local Network for the app(s) you’d like to allow access to your network. This will allow permissions for your device to discover Cast-enabled devices.
