You can now choose from a variety of YouTube TV plans to better fit your watching preferences. We offer different plans, including our main YouTube TV plan, as well as plans that focus on sports, entertainment, and more. This gives you more choice and control over the content you pay for.
Find the right plan for you
Our main YouTube TV plan (formerly known as the Base Plan) includes over 100 channels and is our most comprehensive plan. You can also choose other plans like the Sports Plan or Entertainment Plan, which are offered at different price points. Follow the steps in sign up for YouTube TV to select your plan and start watching.
Sports Plan
Sports Plan is designed for fans who want live games without paying for channels they don’t watch. This plan includes major broadcasters (NBC, ABC, Fox, and CBS) and sports networks like FS1, NBC Sports Network, and ESPN. If your plan includes ESPN (like the main YouTube TV plan or Sports Plan), you’ll receive ESPN Unlimited at no additional cost later this fall. The Sports Plan includes local channels and you can still pair this plan with NFL Sunday Ticket.
Features and Family Sharing
All features that can be accessed on the YouTube TV main plan, will also be accessible on the other plans. This includes Multiview, Family Sharing, Concurrent stream limits, DVR, etc.
Family Sharing rules will also apply. Only the Family Manager will be able to make changes to a subscription. If a Family Manager updates the Family Group subscription from YouTube TV (main plan) to a different plan, then all family members will see an update in their channel availability and DVR recordings.
Switch your YouTube TV plan
You can easily switch between different plans to ensure you are getting the content and price that you want. When you switch your plan, your new plan starts right away.
- Go to Settings in the YouTube TV app and select Membership.
- You'll find your current plan and other available plans. Select the plan you want to switch to.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your new plan. Any existing add-ons you have will carry over to your new plan.
If you signed up for YouTube TV through a mobile carrier or internet provider, you’ll need to contact customer support on your billing platform to make a change to your subscription. Available plans may vary depending on your billing provider. Plan switching is also not available on the iOS or Android apps.
Keep your add-on channels
Your add-on channels will automatically carry over when you switch to a new plan. The billing date for your main plan will change to the day you switch. However, the billing date for your add-ons will stay on its original monthly cycle.
If you cancel your YouTube TV Plan then all add-ons will automatically be cancelled as well.

How often can I switch plans?
You can switch between different plans to ensure you are getting the content and price that you want. At the time you switch, you will be charged the cost of your new plan, minus a credit for the unused time remaining on your old plan. The maximum value of the credit is the remaining balance of the new plan upon sign up. This credit is automatically applied and you will be billed for the new plan immediately. This date will then become your new monthly billing date.
Note: If you are on a promotional price and switch plans, you will lose the promotion.
What happens if I switch to a cheaper plan?
If your future plan is cheaper than your current plan, you will get a credit for the difference on your next payment. The maximum value of the credit is the remaining balance of the new plan upon sign up.
Note: Your DVR will be updated to reflect the channels you have access to. If you update your subscription to remove channels where a DVR recording was previously recorded, that content will be removed from your DVR library. If you change your subscription and lose access to some DVR content, as long as you re-upgrade their subscription to include that genre within 21 days, you will regain access to lost DVR content.
What’s the difference between the main YouTube TV plan & the Sports Plan?
Why can’t I find a certain plan?
Plan availability can vary depending on your billing provider (such as a mobile carrier, internet provider, or Google Play Billing). While our partners are working to implement these new plans, some plans may not be available on their platforms today.
If you don't see the plan you are looking for, you have two options:
- Wait for your provider: You can wait for your billing partner to add these options to their service.
- Switch to direct billing: To access the widest variety of plans immediately, you can cancel your subscription through your current billing platform and then resubscribe directly through the YouTube TV homepage.
