Share music and podcasts that you love with friends or on social networks. When you share a song or podcast, it will open in YouTube Music for your friends to enjoy.

How to share music and podcasts in the YouTube Music app

Share music or podcasts from YouTube Music

To share music or podcasts:

Open the YouTube Music app on your mobile device or sign in to YouTube Music on a browser.
Select the song, album, playlist or podcast that you want to share.
Select Menu Share .
In the pop-up window, choose the sharing option that you prefer. You can also copy the link for later use.

Share music, podcasts and videos with a timestamp

You can share music, podcasts and videos with a specific starting point, using timestamp sharing.

To share the timestamp of a song, podcast or a video, click Share and select the Start at toggle. The starting point of the content that you share is set based on when you tap Share .

Share a sample

Browse the Samples tab to find an endless, personalised stream of short music video segments, from new releases to old favourites.

You can share Samples that you like with your friends using a link or post it to social media.

To share a Sample:

Open the YouTube Music app .
At the bottom of your screen, tap Samples .
Scroll through Samples until you find the Sample that you want to share.
Tap Share on the right side of the screen.
Share the Sample on your preferred platform or copy the link for later use.
