If you are working with a partner brand on a sponsored video, you can now add a single link to your YouTube Short. This link lets viewers easily visit your brand partner's website. It makes it simpler to guide your audience to a product page or a campaign landing page during a brand partnership.
Viewers will see the link on screen with the sticker and in the Shorts description. These links are globally visible on mobile devices to all organic viewers.
Eligibility
Currently, this feature is available as an initial pilot for creators in the United States through the YouTube or YouTube Studio app. We anticipate expanding its availability in the near future.
This feature is exclusively for brand deals that have been reported by the brand to YouTube through the BrandConnect API or Creator Partnership Hub.

How to add a link to a brand’s site to a Short
You can add the external link when uploading or editing a Short that’s part of a reported brand deal campaign in the YouTube Studio app and the YouTube app:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio
or the Main app

- Go to the Short you are uploading or editing for your Brand Deal campaign.
- Under the upload or edit page, tap Paid promotion & brands
Find your brand partner.
- If you see the partner in the list, tap Select to select that partner.
- If you don’t see the brand associated with the campaign, you will not be able to add a link. If you believe this is an error, please reach out to the sponsoring brand.
- Review the share agreement and then tap Share access.
- Review the “Link to a brand’s site” card. Make sure that both “Video description” and “Video player” are toggled on.
- Tap Done.
- Continue uploading your Short.
How to manage a link on a Short
- Sign in to YouTube Studio
or the Main app

- Go to the Short you’ve added a link for your Brand Deal campaign.
- Under the upload or edit, tap Paid promotion & brands
.
- Tap More
next to the brand partner to access the following options:
- Edit link to the brand's site: You can control your visibility by toggling the "Video description" or “Video player” on or off.
- Stop sharing video with a brand: This option allows you to discontinue video sharing.
- Then tap Done.
YouTube’s policies on links
- The link must directly lead to the website of the brand you are partnered with.
- It must comply with YouTube’s Paid Product Placement policy.
- It must follow our Community Guidelines.
We do not allow links that violate our policies, such as links to malware, phishing sites, or content that is otherwise prohibited.
