Participate in communities

Communities are a space where you and other subscribers post content inspired by the creator's videos or start discussions. Note that you can only post in a Community if you're subscribed to the channel for a period of time set by the creator.

If a creator has a Community, you can find it by going to their channel page and selecting Community.

Note: Communities are currently only available on the YouTube mobile app.

Create a post

  1. In the YouTube app, go to a creator's channel page.
  2. Tap Visit community.
  3. Tap What's on your mind? .
  4. Type your post, add images or create a poll.
  5. Tap Post.
If you are having trouble posting, it may be because you haven't been subscribed to that channel long enough. Creators can set how long you need to be a subscriber before engaging in their community.

Delete a post

  1. Go to the post that you want to delete.
  2. Tap More and then Delete .
  3. Tap Delete.

You can delete your own posts, but not posts that others have made. If you didn't delete your post but it is no longer there, it may have been removed by the creator or a channel moderator, or it may not have followed our Community Guidelines.
