You can earn badges for doing things like commenting, being an early channel member, completing courses and finishing quizzes on YouTube. Badges are available on the YouTube and YouTube Music mobile app.
Note: Unless you share or post them, the badges that you earn are private, so only you can see them.
Learn how to earn a badge
There are several types of badges that you can earn for reaching different milestones. You will be awarded a badge if you:
- Answer quiz questions correctly on YouTube.
- Have a select set of creators heart one of your comments.
- Be one of the first set of people to join a Creator's channel membership programme.
- Complete a course on YouTube by watching all the video lessons in the course.
- Are in the top listeners for selected music artists. Learn more about how to earn badges in YouTube Music.
- Are among the top users to hype videos from a channel in a given month.
View and manage your badges
You can also find your badges by going to the Badges section of the You tab in the YouTube app.
- Tap You in the bottom right-hand corner of the YouTube app.
- Tap Badges.
You can select More 
Opt out of badges
- Tap You in the bottom right-hand corner of the YouTube app.
- Tap Badges.
- Tap More
in the top right-hand corner of the page.
- Tap Opt out.
You can select Opt in at any time if you want to get badges again, from settings or from the Badges tab.
