Monetise Shorts as a rights holder

These features are only available to partners who use YouTube Studio Content Manager and who accept the new terms.

To monetise a Short as a rights holder, a Short needs to have an active upload claim created and have a monetisation upload policy applied.

If you uploaded a three-minute video before 15 October 2024 and want to monetise it as a Short, make sure that there is an active first-party claim on a video. Three-minute Shorts uploaded after 15 October 2024 can monetise in the Shorts revenue-sharing model. Learn more about three-minute Shorts.

Before you begin creating claims, make sure that you understand and adhere to the YouTube Shorts monetisation policies.
