Keep in mind:
When a channel linked to your Content Manager uploads a video that gets a copyright claim:
- Any 1st party claims (“uploader claims”) stay active unless manually closed by the uploader or closed due to video deletion.
- Match policies associated with the claim aren't applied until the third-party Content ID claim is resolved (except for any geo-fencing block policies the uploader set before the third-party claim).
When you claim a video uploaded by another channel:
- Any 1st party claims (“uploader claims”) stay active unless manually closed by the uploader or closed due to video deletion. However, only certain videos will be monetized on the uploader’s side, such as videos eligible for the cover revenue sharing.
Note: To view the monetization status of a video, check the Videos page.
