Remove personal sexual images from Google Search results

If you find explicit or intimate images of yourself in Search, you can use Google's optimized reporting process to request removal. To request removal, access the More menu within the image viewer.
Important: To use this feature, you need to sign in to your Google Account.

Step 1: Report a personal adult image

  1. On the “Image search” page, click the image you want to report.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then Remove result.

Step 2: Specify removal details

You can now specify if the reported image is a real image shared without consent or a fake, AI-generated image that utilizes your likeness.
  1. In “Why would you like to remove this search result?” message, click It shows a sexual image of me.
    • Tip: When you click "It shows a sexual image of me," it initiates a new removal flow as per the steps below. When you select another option, it will redirect you to a different reporting mechanism.
  2. Click Get started.
    • Tip: To use this feature, you need to sign in to your Google Account.
  3. In “Does the image show someone under 18?” message, click No.
  4. Select an answer for each prompt.
    • There are multiple options and each option redirects to a specific prompt based on your response.

Step 3: Report multiple images at once

In one request, you can select and submit additional images that show up in search results.
  1. When you find “Would you like to submit more images in the same request?” message, click Yes.
  2. Select more images you’d like to remove.
  3. Click Continue.

Step 4: Learn about ongoing protections & how to use it

When you request a removal, you can choose for Google to automatically remove any future duplicate images. It can also filter out related images from similar searches.
  1. On the “Let us know the details” page, enter your full name.
    • Optional: You can enter additional names and in “Provide any helpful context about this image and your connection to it,” give additional info.
  2. Click Continue.
  3. To add ongoing protections, you can select:
    • Duplicates
    • Future searches
  4. Click Continue and then Done.
Tips:
  • Once a decision is made, you’ll receive an email notification. It provides you access to detailed info.
  • If an image aligns with Google's removal policies, its status displays as "Approved."
  • For that specific image, you can also access further details, next steps, and support options.
