Share your AI-powered responses from Google Search

When using AI Overviews or AI Mode, you can create a link to share your response. You can share to any messaging app, or post on any social platform.

Important: Enable Search history by turning on Web & App Activity. Without this setting enabled, you will not be able to share responses.

Share a response

You can share responses from AI Overviews or AI Mode in the following ways:

For AI Overviews: Open any browser, go to Google Search.

For AI Mode: Go to google.com/ai.

To share a response:

At the bottom of every AI response, click Share to share.
Choose how you want to share:
- To share on an available social platform: At the bottom, click the social platform and follow the on-screen instructions.
- To share the link: You can copy the shared link to share. Paste it where you want to share, like in a messaging app, an email draft, or a forum.

You can delete a shared thread or reshare it from Google Search.

Important: To view shared links from AI Overviews, go to AI Mode history .

On your computer, go to AI Mode.
On the left, click AI Mode history to view past threads saved in your account.
Click Manage public links .
On the shared link you want to delete, select Delete . Alternatively, click Delete all links to delete all shared links.

When you delete a shared thread, the shared content will be deleted within minutes.
If you delete an AI Mode thread that you shared, your corresponding shared link will get deleted within a few days.

On your computer, go to AI Mode.
On the left, click AI Mode history to view past threads saved in your account.
Click Manage public links .
On the shared thread you want to reshare, click copy .
Paste the link where you want to share it, like in a messaging app, an email draft, or a forum.

Clicking on a shared AI Overview link will take you to AI Mode to continue the conversation.
Once in AI Mode, you can ask follow-up questions on the AI Overview.

If your AI Mode thread has more than one question and response, then all of your questions and responses within the same thread will be shared.
Any subsequent follow up questions and responses issued in your private AI Mode thread after sharing will not be included in the shared link.
If you share a specific AI Mode response, the recipient will be taken directly to the same question and response. The recipient will be able to scroll through the entire AI Mode thread to see your other questions and responses within the same thread.
When you open a shared thread and add more follow up questions, a new private thread will be added to your AI Mode history. Your new questions will not appear on the shared version of the thread.

Important: Do not share your personal information. Shared links of AI Mode threads can be reshared or deleted anytime.
