You can set up a profile to monitor the dark web so you can learn if your info is found in breaches.
You can check for data on the dark web that might be associated with your email address or other info you add to your monitoring profile. Breach results can contain information like:
- Your name
- Address
- Phone number
- Username
- Password
To maintain privacy, any info found in the breach results is displayed in redacted form.
With the results, you can review your information and make informed decisions about how to protect yourself.
Eligibility
To be eligible for dark web reports, you must have a consumer Google Account. Dark web report is not available for Google Workspace accounts and supervised accounts.

Set up your monitoring profile
- On your mobile phone, open the Google App
.
- At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial
Manage your Google Account
Security tab.
- Scroll down and tap Dark web report.
- Under Dark web report, tap Start monitoring.
- To include additional Google Account personal information in your monitoring profile:
- Select the desired checkboxes.
- Tap Allow.
- Confirm your selections and add any additional data you want to monitor.
- Tap Done.
Get your results
- On your mobile phone, open the Google App
.
- At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial

Security tab.
- Scroll down and tap Dark web report.
- To get all of your results, tap View all results.
- To find additional details for a result, tap the result.
- To filter your results by personal info type, at the top right, tap Down arrow
.
- Select from the data types found, which can include:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Address
- Up to 10 email addresses
- Up to 3 phone numbers
- Credit card number
- Password
- Username
- Gender
Take action:
- On your mobile phone, open the Google App
.
- At the top right, tap your profile picture or initial

- Scroll down and tap Dark web report.
View all results.
- Tap a result.
- To get recommended actions, scroll to “Suggested next steps.”
- On your mobile phone, open the Google App

- Under “Data breaches with your info,” tap Edit monitoring profile.
Update your phone number

- Under “Data breaches with your info,” tap Edit monitoring profile.
- Scroll to “Phone (# of 3 added).”
- To the right of the phone number, tap Delete
.
- To add a new number, tap Add number.

View all results.
- Under “Data breaches with your info,” tap Edit monitoring profile.
- At the bottom, tap Delete monitoring profile.
- On the “Delete monitoring profile?” confirmation screen, tap Delete

How we use your monitoring profile info
When you set up your monitoring profile, your profile info is used to check whether a match was found on the dark web. If matching info is found, we'll email or notify you. You can find guidance on how to protect your personal information on the Security page of your Google Account.
