To get started, request access to the Traffic View Tool.
Waze Traffic View includes four distinct features that work together to provide the most helpful information about traffic in your area. When viewing please note that screens do not update automatically. To update the screen refresh your Traffic View screen by clicking the "refresh" button in your browser window.
Waze-o-Meter
The Waze-o-Meter gives a quick visual snapshot of the traffic in your area. Click any of the color bars to highlight affected sections on the Livemap.
The color coding of the Waze-o-Meter mirrors what's displayed on the Waze app.
- Green: Free Flow - Great conditions, cars are able to move at speed limit.
- Yellow: Light Traffic - Slight congestion, but drivers can still travel at relative speeds.
- Light red: Moderate Traffic - Congestion starting to build up noticeably.
- Red: Heavy Traffic - Speeds have slowed down, expect significant delays.
- Dark red: Bumper to Bumper - Traffic is near standstill.
Click a color to see the affected sections highlighted on a map - a great way to scan quickly for best or worst traffic in an area. Click again to unselect
To adjust the area covered by the Waze-o-meter, get in touch with your Waze contact.

Route Watchlist feed
The Watchlist allows you to save routes that you track frequently. Learn how to add, delete and edit a route in the instructions below.
Add a route
- Log into Traffic View.
- Click Add route
.
- Give your route a name in the Route name field.
- Zoom in on the map to find your start and end locations and click to drop the pins on the map. You can add additional pins between these two points if you want to customize a specific route, however, you must first add the start and end locations.
- Click Save and your route should appear on your Watchlist. Underneath each route you should see the following traffic information:

The current amount of time it will take to complete the the route in black
- The amount of time it normally takes to complete the route in grey (based on historic traffic data, Waze calculates the average ETA for the route at a specific time and day of the week).
Delete a route
- Log into Traffic View.
- Find the route you'd like to edit in your Watchlist and click Delete route

- Confirm to delete the route.
.Edit a route
To edit an existing route, please delete the relevant route and add it again with the necessary changes.
- Log into Traffic View.
- Find the route you'd like to edit in your Watchlist and click the Delete route
- Confirm to delete the route.
- Click Add route
- Give your route a name in the Route name field.
- Zoom in on the map to find your start and end locations. Once you've found the correct locations, click to drop the start and end pins on the map.
- Click Save and your route should appear on your Watchlist.
Traffic View Livemap
The Traffic View Livemap should be automatically set to the polygon area you defined.
Icons appear for accidents, police, hazards, road closures and more. Click on any icon to see information about that notification submitted by Waze users.
Zoom in or out with "+" and "-" controls to see details. Re-center the map by tapping the "reset view" icon
