The impact dashboard summarizes your recent Waze map contributions and their effect on drivers. Map contributions are the total number of successfully processed road incident reports from your organization's accounts or affiliated sources. The data on the dashboard is updated weekly, reflecting the results of the previous week.
Map contributions include the following:
- Road closures and alerts provided through feeds
- Road closures added in the Waze Map Editor (WME)
- Alerts reported through the Waze Partner Hub Map Tool
- Traffic events created in the WME
Got questions?
How does Waze calculate impacted drives?
Waze calculates impacted drives by estimating how many drives benefited from your map contributions. This includes drives where users saw alerts, got better routes from closure reports, or were notified about traffic events you added.
Impacted drives are shown in the dashboard in increments of 100. Totals below 100 are displayed as '<0-99 drives'.
What do upvotes represent?
Upvotes are positive reactions to the alerts you provided. Drivers can select "Still there" or "Thumbs up" to indicate your alerts are still relevant and appreciated.
The total number of upvotes you received is shown in increments of 10 in the dashboard.
Can Waze provide more detailed information about user impact or upvotes?
Why am I seeing different contribution numbers than what I submitted?
Here are some reasons why the total number of contributions or their impact may vary:
- Submission and impact times: Contributions are counted when you submit them, while impact is measured when the incident is live on the map and drivers are affected. This difference can cause contributions to have a higher or lower impact than expected within a specific week. If your contributions typically have long durations or are reported in advance, their impact may be delayed.
- Successful contributions only: The Impact dashboard only includes successfully processed contributions. If your feed events had errors or were not applied to our map, they may be excluded from the data. You can view your feed status and check for errors in Partner Hub.
- Multiple Waze partners: If your account or other contributors' accounts are affiliated with several Waze partners, the impact of your contributions may be distributed among those partners, resulting in unexpected totals.
