The Waze Map Editor Community is a group of over thirty thousand Wazers all over the world who volunteer to help keep the Waze map up-to-date and accurate.
Roles and responsibilities
Waze map editors are responsible for a wide range of tasks, from suggesting new features to adding new roads, traffic data, and toll prices. They also make sure the current information on the Waze map is correct. The community is rank-based, so you start by suggesting edits and gradually work your way up to more complicated tasks.
Collaboration with partners
Editor communities can collaborate with Waze partners by:
- Adding and editing information on the Waze map, such as:
- Closures
- Street names
- Street directions
- Venues
- Updating details for major events and crisis response
- Updating the Waze map using Waze Map Editor
- Helping with other partner tools, such as Feeds, WME, Alerts, and Bigquery
