Collaborate with the Waze map editors community

The Waze map editing community represents a group of volunteers who edit the map around the world, and help ensure that our maps stay up-to-date and accurate.

Many of our community leaders, or “Champs”, are already involved with Waze for Cities through collaboration with existing partners or by helping us connect with new ones.

Best practices when writing to the community

  • Clearly introduce yourself – include what organization or city are you working for and your role
  • Please keep in mind that the community members are volunteers. They’re very motivated, knowledgeable and willing to help. However, they aren’t Waze employees.

Community leaders represent hundreds of active and experienced map editors. They can provide important insight and play an integral role in completing complex projects.
