Audio translate always misses last word

It's as if it stops listening right before my last word. This happens almost every time when the input is in English.

Thanks for sharing your inputs.

I have escalated the issue to the Google product team. The above inputs should be helpful for the team in their investigations. Should they require any more information, I'll come back to you. If they share any update, I would keep you posted.

It's not a font issue.

I found myself and saw it mentioned by one of the respondents that if you say an extra word at the end of the sentence, I just always use potatoes, it seems to work.

Google doesn't give a **** about this issue with voice-driven Translate, presumably  too busy scraping our data. They have known about it long enough. If I read one more apparatchik murmuring 'if you give us more information we can escalate the issue' I'll puke. Older version works fine BUT Google magic detects and upgrades back to the problem. I'm putting two fingers up to Google and migrating to the opposition.

Well it seems this is a widespread issue that Google translate it doesn't care enough to correct. Bye-bye

I have this problem like you all,  is there any else translator?

Same thing in French. It used to work perfectly but now, Google Translate doesn't take into consideration the last word when I use audio

ie: if I say "Il fait beau dehors" it only get "il fait beau"

My Phone is a Google Pixel 3, clean and updated

I am having the same problem with French. Tonight I couldn't get more than one word out.

I use GT for Spanish translations, too, but I don't notice the same problem there.

Russian language has this bug too

I am also affected by this issue. A good workaround is to use the microphone in your pop-up keyboard (gboard) instead, not the in-app microphone of Google translate. This seems to solve the problem. The keyboard should normally pop up when you hit the area where you are supposed to type your text. Hope this helps.

This issue happens all the time. Its not English only. The issue I think is that people speaking naturally start to speak softer as they reach the end of a sentence. It seems like the software is too aggressive in interpreting the lessening volume as the end of speaking. So words are lost. I find that if I unnaturally force myself to speak louder at the end, then the sentence is captured in entirety.

Happens to me every time I use it. I sometimes check the correct way to say something while practicing my spanish. When I use the microphone Google never gets the last word.  Its been happening for over a year now. How can a Mega Giant like Google let something like this go uncorrected for do long. If I did that at my job I get fired in the first week of not repair a known issue.

I have the same problem. I use the microphone and it always drops the last word when I'm translating from English. This is really disappointing.

Exaxtly, I came here with a voice search and it got in every last word I spoke. Translate app in enlish however just can not get that last word!
