Set up Google tag gateway for advertisers in the Google tag using Cloudflare’s CDN. Compared to standard setups, Google tag gateway for advertisers will deploy the Google tag from your domain, enhancing data privacy (Trusted Execution Environment (TEE)) and signal measurement recovery. It requires an existing Google tag on your website and Google’s permission to activate Google tag gateway for advertisers within your Cloudflare account.

Troubleshoot tag issues with Tag Diagnostics
In addition to being the check-engine light, Tag Diagnostics provide detailed guidance on resolving setup issues, such as sitewide tagging or enhanced conversions. For example, when your website redirects are dropping Google click identifiers (GCLIDs), the diagnostic alert, “Website redirects are losing click data”, appears.
Additionally, you’ll have an overview of your account’s health, highlighting potential measurement issues and providing actionable solutions like tag quality statuses. The following statuses highlight detected issues, their severity, and how to fix them: excellent, good, needs attention, urgent, no recent data.
