Learn about Google Store trade-in process timelines

When you buy a new Pixel device, you can get credit when you trade in your old device through Google Store. Trade-in through Google Store is available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

You can start the trade-in process after you order a new device. Learn how to add a trade-in to an order.

  1. You receive your new device.
  2. You'll receive a trade-in kit within 5 working days.
  3. Send your trade-in device.
  4. Google Store receives the trade-in device.
    • As soon as Google Store receives your trade-in device, it will usually be inspected within 5 working days and the results will be sent through email.
  5. You get the value of your device from Google Store.
    • If the post-inspection value is less than 75% of the estimated trade-in value, PCS Wireless returns your device and you won't receive a credit.
    • If the post-inspection value is between 75% and 99.9% of the estimated trade-in value, you'll receive an email.
      • You'll have 7 days to accept the post-inspection value.
      • If you don't accept the post-inspection value within 7 days, PCS Wireless returns your device and you won't receive a credit.
  6. You receive your refund.
    • You'll receive a credit to the form of payment used for your new device purchase.
      • Credit card refunds may take up to 14 working days to apply to your card.
    • If the trade-in value credit exceeds the cost of your new Pixel device, the excess amount is provided as Google Store credit.
