When you place an order or get an advanced replacement, Google Store contacts your bank or card provider to validate your payment method. The bank or card provider temporarily holds the funds until the transaction processes or the authorization expires.
- The authorization hold is removed after a package ships from Google or is canceled:
- If you get an advanced replacement package, the authorization hold is removed after Google gets your original device.

- Payment authorizations typically stay on a user's account for 1–21 business days, based on the card provider's policies.
- For more information about authorization holds, contact your bank or card provider.
- For India orders only: After the order is confirmed, the selected payment method is charged. No authorization hold is applied. This policy covers all order types:

- Back orders
- Split shipments
