Confirm warranty coverage
Important:
- All Google items bought from Google Store, such as Pixel phones or Google Nest, come with a limited warranty.
- You can return your item and get a refund if you're within the standard return period. If you return your item, you won’t get a replacement. Learn more about how to return an item.
Before you start a repair or replacement process, you must confirm the warranty type and coverage for your item. If you have Google Store’s Preferred Care, start a claim.
Select your device to confirm warranty coverage and start a repair or replacement process:
- Pixel Phone
- Pixel Accessories
- Pixel Watch
- Pixel Buds
- Nest devices and accessories
- Fitbit devices and accessories
- Pixel Tablet
- Google TV streamer / Chromecast
What affects eligibility
These details can affect your item’s warranty coverage.
Warranty period
Important: Nothing in this article affects your legal statutory rights.
Your device is covered under warranty if the warranty is still within the warranty period. You can extend beyond the standard warranty period as long as you purchased either:
- Preferred Care from the Google Store
- Device protection from Google Fi plans
Item condition
You may get warranty support if your device experiences issues like:
- Doesn’t charge properly.
- Doesn't turn on.
- Freezes often.
- Has microphone, speaker, or button issues.
- Has trouble getting internet or cell signal.
You may not be able to get warranty support for your device if:
- It has cosmetic damage.
- It has a cracked or broken screen.
- You dropped the item and it got damaged.
- Debris entered the USB-C port and it stopped working.
- You lost the device, it was stolen, or you don’t have it anymore.
- The device malfunctions due to liquid damage.
Purchase from a third-party retailer
Important: Nothing in this article affects your legal statutory rights. Google repair isn’t available in Taiwan.
- Devices purchased through authorized third-party retailers or carriers have Google warranty support.
- If you bought your Google device from an unauthorized third-party retailer or carrier, contact the retailer or carrier directly.
Tip: For warranty replacement of Google devices bought from a Signifi-owned kiosk, contact Google Support.
Find out if you're in-warranty or out-of-warranty
To check if your Pixel phone is still within the warranty period:
- Sign in to store.google.com/repair.
- To find warranty coverage details, enter your IMEI.
- To find out if certain damages are in or out-of-warranty, select the issues you’re experiencing.
- Tap Next.
- You’ll be informed if your reported issues are covered by warranty. You can also get an estimated cost of repair.
You may be out of warranty if your Pixel phone has:
- Physical damage
- Cosmetic damage
- Liquid damage
- Expired warranty
- Expired additional service plan coverage
