Control notifications on your Pixel phone

You can control the notifications you get from apps on your Pixel phone.

Manage notifications as they arrive

When you get a notification, it appears at the top of your screen. You can:

Find all your notifications: From the top of your screen, swipe down.
Open a notification: Tap it.
Take an action: Tap the button on the notification.
- Examples: “Reply” or “Archive”
Dismiss a single notification: Swipe it left or right.
Dismiss all your notifications: Scroll to the bottom of the list and tap Clear all.

You can control notifications from any app on your phone.

From a notification:

From the Settings app:

Open your phone's Settings app.
Tap Notifications App notifications.
Choose the app you want to change.
- You can choose to see Most recent, Most frequent, All apps, or only apps that are Turned off.
Turn the app’s notifications on or off.

Tip: If you don't get notifications from an app, check the settings to make sure its notifications are turned on.

If you don’t receive alerts, a setting that saves battery or reduces interruptions may be on.

Do Not Disturb: This setting silences most notifications. Learn how to manage Do Not Disturb settings.
