You can make and change alarms in the Clock app on your Android device, Pixel phone, or Pixel Tablet.
Manage your alarms
Set alarm timeImportant: If you set 2 alarms too close together, the first one may be canceled. To make sure both alarms work, leave a 5-minute window between each alarm.
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- Pick an alarm.
- To add an alarm, tap Add
.
- To edit an existing alarm time, tap on its current time.
- To add an alarm, tap Add
- Set the alarm time.
- On the analog clock: Slide the hand to the hour you want. Then slide the hand to the minutes you want.
- On the digital clock: Enter the hour and minutes you want.
- With the 12-hour format: Tap AM or PM.
- On the analog clock: Slide the hand to the hour you want. Then slide the hand to the minutes you want.
- Tap OK.
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the On/Off switch.
Tip: If the alarm is set to repeat, this turns all repeats on or off.
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- To permanently delete the alarm, tap Delete.
- Snooze: To delay an alarm for 10 minutes, tap Snooze.
- Stop: To stop an alarm, tap Stop.

Important: If your ringtone is set to silent and vibration is off, your alarm won’t go off.
Change alarm sound or songUse a sound
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- Tap on the alarm sound.
- Select a sound:
- Pick a sound from the list of Device Sounds: Tap it.
- On Pixel phones, record a new sound: To open the Recorder app, tap Record new. You can record, tap stop to save, and use the recorded audio.
- Use your own sound file: If you've downloaded a sound file to your device, tap Add new

Use a song from YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm
- If you haven't yet, download the YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm app. Learn how to download apps.
- Open the app and sign in to your account. Learn how to open apps.
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- Tap on the alarm sound.
- Next to “Sounds,” tap YouTube Music, Pandora, Spotify, or Calm.

- Tap More

- Find a song you want to use, then tap it.
- YouTube: To choose a song or album, use a premium account. No-charge accounts don't work with Clock.
- Pandora (US only): To choose a song, use a premium account. Plus and no-charge accounts can choose stations. No-charge accounts might play ads.
- Spotify: To choose a song, use a premium account. No-charge accounts can choose playlists and might play ads.
- Calm: To choose a sound, use a signed in account.
- Open your device's Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- Name: To name the alarm, tap Alarm name.
- Repetition: To make the alarm repeat, tap the days of the week.
- Pause alarm: To pause a scheduled alarm for a scheduled period of days, recurring, and enabled alarm, tap and select the dates on the calendar.
- Vibration: To turn alarm vibrations off or on, tap Vibrate.
Make sure you have:
- Open your device’s Clock app

- Tap Alarm.
- To edit an alarm, tap an alarm block.
- Next to “Google Assistant Routine,” tap Add
.
- Choose the actions you want the Assistant to do. Learn more about Google Assistant Routines.
- Tap Save.
To change or turn off a Google Assistant Routine:
- Change a routine: Tap Google Assistant Routine.
- Turn off a routine: Next to "Google Assistant Routine," tap Remove

Fix alarm issues
If you get any of these error messages below, follow the troubleshooting steps.

Provide location permissions
Add your local weather forecast to an alarm
- Open your device's Clock app

- To add an alarm, at the bottom, tap Add
.
- Select Weather forecast.
- When you stop your alarm, the forecast will display.
Tip: Be sure your Clock app has access to your location.
