It’s easy to return your hardware. However, be sure to pack your device correctly so it arrives safely and your return processes without delay.
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to prepare, pack, and label your return shipment. Some items, like Pixel Buds, contain specific battery types. As a result, packaging requirements may vary. To return your device, choose the appropriate section below.

1. Power off device: If your item has a power button, like a phone or tablet, turn it off completely before you pack it. |
2. Use a sturdy box: Use the original box and packaging if you still have it. Otherwise, use a sturdy shipping box. Tip: If you use your own box, seal the bottom seams with packing tape in a “H” pattern to prevent it from opening. |
3. Pack your return: Place all the required items into the box. For standard returns, pack all original accessories, which includes manuals and parts. For replacements, pack only the item that needs to be swapped. To secure items while shipping, fill any empty space with packing material, like crumpled paper or bubble wrap. |
4. Include packing slip: On top of your item, place your printed packing slip inside the box. |
5. Seal the shipping box: Seal the top of the box securely with packing tape. We recommend you seal with the same "H" pattern you used on the bottom seams. |
6. Prepare the box: On the outside of the box, completely remove or cover any old shipping labels, barcodes, or addresses. Your new return shipping label should be the only one visible. Tip: Old shipping labels, dangerous or hazardous goods labels, barcodes, and addresses can cause shipping delays or rejections. |
7. Attach the shipping label: Securely attach the new return shipping label to the largest, flattest side of the box. It must be fully visible on one side and not wrap around an edge or corner. Do not apply the return shipping label to the bottom of the box. |

Important: If your return is in an unopened and sealed retail box, you can skip directly to step 6. |
1. Remove ear tips: Remove the flexible ear tips from both earbuds. Do not include them in your return. |
2. Place buds in case: Place both earbuds back into the charging case. |
3. Seal the case: To keep the charging case lid securely closed while shipping, place a small piece of tape over it. |
4. Secure the item: Place the charging case with the earbuds inside a small plastic pouch or small inner box. |
5. Seal the pouch or inner box: If your pouch has an adhesive strip, peel the seal and fold it over. If you use your own pouch or small box, seal it shut with tape. |
6. Place in shipping box: Place your sealed pouch or small box into a sturdy, outer shipping box. To secure your item while shipping, fill any empty space with packing material, like crumpled paper or bubble wrap. |
7. Seal the shipping box: Seal the top and bottom of the outer shipping box securely with packing tape. It’s recommended to seal with a "H" pattern across the top and bottom seams. |
Important: You must print the provided lithium battery label (UN3481) in full color. Black and white labels may be rejected. 8. Print the battery label: Trim the label along the outer red dashed line. |
9. Attach the battery label: On the outside of the box, attach the lithium battery label. It must be fully visible on one side and not wrap around an edge or corner. You can cover the label with clear tape to protect it, but make sure it’s still easy to read. |
10. Attach the shipping label: Attach the return shipping label to a different side of the box than the battery label. For example, the battery label can be on the side and shipping label can be on top. |
