Use advanced notification features

There are several features on your Pixel phone that can help you manage conversations and reduce interruptions from notifications.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app .
  2. Tap Notifications and then Bubbles.
  3. Turn on Allow apps to show bubbles.

When you receive a notification from a messaging app, tap the small icon on the notification to turn it into a bubble.

Snooze a notification for later

You can snooze a notification if you want to deal with it later.

To turn this feature on or off:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app .
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Turn Allow notification snoozing on or off.

To snooze a notification for a set amount of time:

A dot on an app's icon means you have a notification from that app that you haven't opened yet.

  1. Open your phone's Settings app .
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Turn Notification dot on app icon on or off.

Change your settings for Flash notifications
