Find missed or past notifications on your Pixel phone

If you close a notification by mistake, you can find it again in your phone's notification history.

Tip: You must turn on notification history first before you can find past alerts.

Turn notification history on or off

1. Open your phone's Settings app.
2. Tap Notifications Notification history.
3. Turn Use notification history on or off.

When turned on, your phone will keep a list of the notifications you've dismissed in the last 24 hours.

Find your past notifications

After you turn on your notification history, there are 2 ways to find it.

• From your notifications:
  1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to get your current notifications.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the list.
  3. Tap History . ​​​​​​
• From the Settings app:
  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Notifications Notification history.

In the history list, you can tap a notification to open the app it came from.
