Use multiple Bluetooth audio accessories at once with a Pixel device

Important:

  • This feature is only available on Pixel 8 and later.
  • Only Bluetooth LE Audio accessories are supported.

Two or more people can now use their Bluetooth audio accessories from the same device. Rather than share a single pair of earbuds, each person can use their own.

Turn on & start sharing audio from your Pixel

  1. Connect a compatible pair of LE Audio headphones to your phone.
  2. To find the "Quick Settings" menu, from your homescreen, swipe down.
  3. Tap Bluetooth.
  4. At the bottom left, tap Share audio.
    • You’ll only find “Share audio” when you have LE Audio headphones connected.
    • If you already have another set of LE Audio headphones paired to this phone, you’ll get a notification to share audio to that extra headphone.
    • If you don't have any other LE Audio headphones paired yet, you’ll get a notification to connect a new device or use QR code.
      • To connect to a new device:
        1. Tap Pair new device.
        2. Pair another set of LE Audio headphones.
      • To use a QR code:
        • Use another LE Audio capable Android phone that’s already connected to LE Audio headphones to scan the QR code.

Join a broadcast

Important: Make sure your Android device is connected to LE Audio headphones.

To join someone else’s broadcast:

  1. Open your Camera app.
  2. Scan the QR code shown from another device that has shared their audio.
  3. When the playlist button appears, tap it.
  4. When a dialog window opens, to join the broadcast, tap Listen.

Adjust Audio sharing settings

When you have multiple headphones connected, you can adjust Audio sharing settings. You can either go to:

  • Phone Settings: Tap Connected devices and then Connection preferences and then Audio sharing.
  • Quick Settings:
    1. From your home screen, swipe down.
    2. Tap and hold Bluetooth.
    3. At the bottom left, tap Sharing audio.

In the Audio sharing settings, you can:

  • Turn Share audio on or off.
  • Adjust the volume of the connected LE Audio headphones individually.
  • Select which headphones should be used for audio calls when you tap "Call audio."
  • Check if Audio sharing is working when you tap "Play a test sound." Everyone connected should hear the test sound on their headphones.
  • Adjust your stream settings.
Connect with a QR code
  1. Request the QR code from the person who created the stream.
  2. Scan it with your device. Learn how to scan QR codes on a Pixel device.
