Important:
- Currently, Pixel Studio is only available on the Pixel 9 series in English, German, and Japanese in Australia, Austria, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
- Pixel Studio is not available in the work profile or on a fully managed device.

Use Pixel Studio on your Google Pixel
Create text to image with AI art
Create an image
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- Select a pre-designed layout or tap Create.
- Type the text you want to create an image out of.
- For new versions, tap Regenerate
.
- To explore different styles, tap Styles
.
Return to a project
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- From the home page, at the top left, tap My Projects
.
- Tap the image you want to edit.
- If it’s an image you created, you can change the prompt, add stickers, change the style of the image, add captions or remove objects.
Edit your photos
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- From the home page, at the bottom, tap the image icon and select a photo from your camera roll.
- Tap Edit image.
- Select a tool:
- To adjust your image borders, tap Crop
.
- To doodle, highlight, or add something to your image, tap Draw
.
- To add a text, tap Label
.
- To add a new creation, tap Insert
.
- To add or create a sticker, tap Sticker
.
- To remove a section in the image, tap Erase
.
Tip: To undo changes, tap Undo.
- To adjust your image borders, tap Crop
- Tap Save.
Add or replace objects with AI
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- From the home page:
- To select a photo from your camera roll, tap Image.
- To make a new image, tap Create.
- Tap Insert
.
- Use Quick Select or Manual Select to select an area and describe what you want to add or replace.
- Then Circle, tap, or brush the part that you want to edit.
- Use Expand to expand your selected area. Use Deselect to remove parts of your selected area.
- Describe and enter a prompt like: Add
a baseball cap
orInsert a sun
. - Tap Enter.
- To add the image, tap Accept
.
- If you don’t like the result and want Pixel Studio to try again, tap Reload
.
- To remove the object, tap Undo
.
- If you don’t like the result and want Pixel Studio to try again, tap Reload
Create & save a sticker to Gboard
To liven up a message, you can create a sticker, save it to your Google Keyboard (Gboard), and send it to friends and family.
With this feature you can:
- Send Pixel Studio stickers in any messaging app with Gboard.
- Create new stickers in the "My projects" library with the "Stickers" tab or from your sticker library while you edit a creation.
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- At the bottom, tap the Sticker icon.
- Under "Create a sticker," tap Describe your sticker or Make one from existing photo.
From your My projects library:
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- At the top left, tap the My projects
Stickers.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to create a sticker.
Send the sticker:
- In your messaging app, open Gboard
.
- Tap Stickers
Pixel Studio.
- Select a sticker to send.
Image restrictions
You won’t be able to generate any images that violate Google’s Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy. Note that some images may be unintentionally blocked as we fine-tune our filters.
