Change language settings on a Pixel phone or tablet

You can change the language your Pixel phone or tablet uses.

Change language settings

1. Open your device's Settings app.
2. Tap System Languages System Languages.
   
3. To add a language:
   1. Tap Add a language .
   2. Choose the language that you want to use.
   3. Touch and drag your language to the top of the list.
4. To remove a language:
   1. At the top, tap More Remove.
   2. Pick a language.
   3. At the top, tap Delete .

Tip: When you add languages to your System settings, it helps your device detect that language and customize content.

Change the language for an app

1. Open your device's Settings app.
2. Tap System Languages App languages.
3. Select the app that you want to change.
4. Choose a language.

Tip: To change the user language setting, the app must support language selection.
