You can now easily create custom and shareable stickers directly in the Google Photos app. Using advanced segmentation and object recognition, Google Photos can now identify standout subjects in your photos and turn them into shareable stickers.
Eligibility
- Available on iPhone or iPad with iOS version 17 or up.
Create stickers
Important:
- For best results, choose photos with a subject that's clearly defined in the foreground.
- Stickers can't be modified at this time.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app
.
- Select a photo.
- A shimmer effect outlines the subject of the photo that can be turned into a sticker.
- To create a sticker, press and hold the subject.
- Tap Copy sticker.
- Your sticker is created and copied to your clipboard. When created, your sticker is automatically saved to your sticker sheet in “Collections.”
- To view your stickers, go to your sticker sheet in “Collections.”
- Saved stickers will be backed up.

Tip: If you’re out of storage, your sticker is copied but won’t be saved. Learn how to manage your storage.
- To view your saved stickers and manage your storage, go to your sticker sheet in “Collections.”
Find & reuse stickers
The stickers you create are sorted in your sticker sheet by the date you created them. You can find the earliest created stickers at the bottom and the most recent ones at the top. You can copy, share, or delete your stickers from the sheet.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google Photos app
- At the bottom, tap Collections

- Tap on the sticker you want to use.
- Select an action.
- To copy the sticker: Tap Copy.
- To share the sticker: Tap Share.
- To delete the sticker: Tap Delete sticker.
- If you delete a sticker, you can’t recover it.
