How to verify your identity for Google Play & Cloud Marketplace in Israel

Step 1: Invitation to verify

You will receive an email from Google inviting you to start the identity verification process. This email will explain what action is required to avoid potential account restrictions.

What to do: Click the link in the email to go to the Google Payments verification portal. 

Step 2: Submit your information & documents

Once in the verification portal, you'll be asked to provide details and upload documents. You will be directed to payments.google.com, where you will see a verification alert as your entry point.

• For Individuals: You'll need to submit information and images of your valid, government-issued photo IDs (e.g., Israeli Identity Card, Passport, Driver's License). Two forms of government-issued ID are required.
• For Organizations: You will need to provide business details, documentation proving your organization's existence, and information about your Beneficial Owners and Controlling Shareholders.

Proof of authority: You may be asked to provide documentation proving that the person signing the declaration form is authorized to act on behalf of the organization.

Accepted documents:

• A Power of Attorney (PoA)
• A letter of trustee authorization
• A formal decision or minutes from your organization’s authorized body

Step 3: Document review & addressing issues

After you submit, our team will review your provided information and documents. This typically takes a few business days.

If issues are found: If there's a problem, you'll receive an email explaining what needs to be corrected. Common issues include:

• Form rejected: The Beneficial Owner Declaration was not hand-signed or was unclear
• ID verification failed: Your ID image was blurry, expired, or didn't match the information provided 

What to do: Carefully read the email, make the necessary corrections (e.g., re-sign the form, upload better photos, correct mismatched info), and resubmit through the verification portal. You have a limited number of attempts.

Step 4: Schedule your video verification call

Once your initial documents pass review, you'll receive an email to schedule a mandatory video call with a Google verification agent. This call takes around 10 minutes.

Preparing for your call:

• Have your IDs ready: Bring the original, valid, government-issued photo IDs you submitted. Both IDs must belong to the Authorized Representative attending the call.
• [If applicable, for Organizations]: Have your original, hand-signed Beneficial Owner Declaration Form available.
• Find a good spot: Choose a well-lit, private area with no distractions.
• Check your connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

What to expect during the call:

• You will be asked to clearly show your IDs and your face to the camera.
• You'll need to read a short statement aloud (audio attestation).
• We will explain how your information will be used.
• The call will be recorded for security and compliance, and your consent will be requested at the start.

Proof of authority documents: If you are an Authorized Representative signing for an organization, have the original physical copy of your Power of Attorney or board decision ready to show the agent on camera.

Step 5: Complete the video call

Join the Google Meet call at your scheduled time using the link provided in your Calendar confirmation. The agent will guide you through the live verification steps.

Step 6: Receive your verification outcome

After the video call, your complete submission will undergo a final review. We will notify you via email regarding the outcome of your verification.
