Your UPI ID is an address that identifies you on UPI (typically yourname@bankname).
- Open Google Pay
.
- At the top right, tap your photo.
- Under "Payment methods," tap Bank account.
- Select the bank account for which you want to create a new UPI ID.
- Select Manage UPI IDs.
- If you find “1/3 UPI IDs added” or “2/3 UPI IDs added,” tap the Down arrow
.
- Next to the UPI ID you want to create, tap Add
.
Tips:
- You can create up to 4 UPI IDs on Google Pay for each bank account you add.
- You can't use Virtual Payment Address (VPA) or UPI IDs created through other UPI apps or net-banking portals for Google Pay.
- A new VPA or UPI ID is created for you when you sign up for Google Pay.
- The VPA or UPI ID created through Google Pay is the default VPA or UPI ID on your Google Pay account.
- You can keep the ID you want and delete other associated IDs.
- Open Google Pay

- At the top right, tap your photo.
- Tap Bank account.
- Tap the bank account whose UPI ID you want to view.
- Select Manage UPI IDs.
- Under your bank account details on the top of the page, you’ll find your UPI ID.
To delete an existing UPI ID and create a new one:
- Open Google Pay
.
- At the top right, tap your photo.
- Tap Bank account.
- Tap the bank account whose UPI ID you want to see.
- Select Manage UPI IDs.
- Under your bank account details on the top of the page, you’ll find your UPI ID.
- If you find “1/3 UPI IDs added” or “2/3 UPI IDs added,” tap the Down arrow

- Next to the UPI ID you want to delete, tap on the menu section and select “Delete.”
- Next to the UPI ID you want to create, tap Add
.
- Open Google Pay
.
- At the top right, tap your profile photo.
- Under “Payment methods,” tap Bank account.
- Tap the bank account for which you want to delete your UPI ID.
- Select Manage UPI IDs.
- Click on the three dots next to the UPI ID you want to delete.
- Select Delete.
To restore an old UPI ID, use the same details for:
- Phone number
- Device
- Bank account
- Google Account
If any of the details are different, you can't retrieve the same UPI ID.
Questions about multiple VPA or UPI IDs
How does an additional UPI ID work?Sometimes, transactions may take longer or fail because of issues with UPI payment servers. An additional UPI ID helps improve your payment success rate by routing your transaction through the server that will ensure a successful payment.
You can add up to 4 UPI IDs for your bank account. You can also remove these at any time. You can have multiple UPI IDs for the same bank account.
You can create up to 4 VPAs on Google Pay.

- Select Manage UPI IDs.
Your VPA or UPI ID is linked to your registered email address. For instance, if your Google Pay account is linked to the email address "[email protected]," your VPA might be "abc@oksbi" (where "oksbi" represents the name of the Payment Service Provider or PSP associated with your Google Pay account).
The Google Pay app displays only the last 4 digits of your bank account number. To find your complete account number and IFSC code, check your bank's:
