When onboarding onto GPay, you'll be asked to set an app lock.
To make Google Pay more secure, you will require an app lock to use the app. You can also link your phone’s security settings like numeric PIN, fingerprint lock, and Face ID as your app lock.
- For the screen lock feature, if the device is unlocked within 30 seconds, GPay app lock will be skipped.
Tips:
- Your Google Pay app lock is different from your UPI PIN.
- Devices running iOS 8.2 or up can select app lock as phone's default lock such as:
- Face ID
- Numeric PIN
- Fingerprint lock
Tip: Your fingerprint information isn't shared with the app.
