Use Aadhaar to add your bank account to Google Pay
- Ensure that your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar.
- The mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and bank must be the same.
Important:
You might not receive Aadhaar verification one-time passwords (OTP)s from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) texts if:
- Your mobile number isn’t linked to your Aadhaar.
- The mobile number doesn’t match with the one added to your bank account.

- Go to https://uidai.gov.in.
- Select your language.
- Select My Aadhaar

Update or link your mobile number
- Go to an Aadhaar enrolment centre.
- Update or link your mobile number.
- To link a mobile number for the first time, fill in the Aadhaar enrolment form.
- To link a mobile number that has not been registered at an earlier stage or to update an existing mobile number, fill in the Aadhaar correction form.
- Provide documents for proof of identity or ownership of your mobile number.
- Provide your biometrics for authentication.
- Pay the fee.
- Get a receipt with a unique reference number (URN).
- After your mobile number is changed, try Google Pay again.
Tips:

- To check if your mobile number is updated, use your URN or call the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) freephone number 1947.
- Once the correct mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, you'll get verification OTPs to the number.
- You don’t need to get a new Aadhaar card after changing your number.
