Set up payment reminders on Google Pay

What are recurring payment reminders?

Recurring payment reminders help you to set up, track and pay your recurring payments to peers in Google Pay. You can set reminders for payments, like:

  • Rent
  • House repairs
  • Newspaper bills

To set a recurring reminder, go to the 'Regular payments' section and select a payment category. Then, you can set up your reminders.

How to set reminders for recurring payments.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. To check all categories, under 'Bills and recharges', tap View all.
  3. Scroll to 'Payment categories'.
  4. To select the category you want, tap View all.
  5. Scroll to the 'Set up regular payments' section.
  6. Select the category you want.
  7. To set up recurring payments:
    1. Select the person that you want to pay from your contact list.
    2. Select a start date.
    3. Select the frequency of payment.
    4. Set the amount.
    5. For easy reference, enter the name of this payment.
  8. To add it to your checklist, tap Set reminder.

How to track recurring payments in the checklist.

You can track recurring payments in the 'Regular payments' section.

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. To check all categories, under 'Bills and recharges', tap View all.
  3. Under 'Your checklist', you can find a list of all your recurring payments.

How to cancel recurring payment reminders

  1. Open Google Pay .
  2. At the bottom, select Regular payments.
  3. Under the 'Your checklist' section, touch and hold a reminder. 
  4. Tap Delete.

Automatically make the payment at a set schedule

You can only set reminders for the frequent peer payments. There are no autopay settings. You’ll have to make the payment manually.
