Manage your UPI autopay mandates
Important: Autopay is supported through @okaxis, @okhdfcbank, and @okicici handles. If your UPI ID ends with @oksbi, here’s how you can create an additional UPI ID.
You can set up Autopay payments like:
- Mobile bills
- Electricity bills
- EMI payments
- Insurance
- Mutual funds
- Subscriptions and other merchant requests
When you select UPI Autopay as the payment method on a merchant app or website, you’ll receive a request in your Google Pay app that you need to authorize to set up the Autopay mandate. To setup a mandate:
- On your mobile device, open the Google Pay app
.
- At the top right, click your Profile picture.
- Select Autopay.
- In the “Pending” tab, select the mandate you want to take action on. You can either accept or cancel the Autopay request from the merchant here.
- Enter your UPI PIN.
You can also approve an Autopay mandate through an in-app request that you receive on Google Pay.
Tip: Autopay requests may take up to 24 hours to reflect on the Google Pay app. If you still don’t see the request within 24 hours, contact support.
- Open the Google Pay app
.
- At the top right, click your profile picture.
- Select Autopay. You can find the status of the mandates in these three tabs:

- If you have setup an Autopay mandate for a loan, you won’t be able to cancel it through Google Pay. Reach out to your merchant for more details on how to cancel a loan-related mandate.
- In some situations, you may get an error message when you try to cancel your Autopay mandate. Try to reactivate or re-add your bank account that is linked with the mandate before trying to cancel the Autopay setup.
