About this column

This column typically carries the "Custom ID" or "Vendor ID". Partners who provide EIDR IDs in their avails ("SeasonID" column), are able to make free use of the SeasonAltID column. If EIDR IDs are not provided, it's important that SeasonAltIDs are unique to the season. This helps ensure that a clear association exists between the unique ID and the intended assets.

SeasonAltIDs can consist of letters, numbers, or a combination of both. They must be in string format and can't contain any spaces or special characters (e.g. &*"<>:;@, etc.).

Additional Google requirements

It's important to confirm that SeasonAltIDs are accurate and unique before sending an avail. SeasonAltIDs should never change for a version. Once Google receives a SeasonAltID, it will be used as the unique SeasonAltID going forward.

Best practices

Include a SeasonAltID every time a season is on an avail.

Common mistakes

Using a space in the ID (e.g. "FIRSTDANCE 10112").
If SeasonAltIDs start with "0", ensure that none of the info within the excel document are corrupted before providing the avail.
