Before you begin

Delete your standalone account

Deleting your standalone account will permanently remove all data and stop your products from showing on Google within 48 hours.

  1. In your Merchant Center account, select Settings Tools and setting menu icon [Gear] in the left navigation menu.
  2. Select General.
  3. Under the "Account setup" tab, scroll down and select Close Merchant Center account.
  4. Review the disclaimer and select “Yes, I want to permanently close this Merchant Center account”.
  5. Select Close Merchant Center account.

Delete your sub-accounts

If your account is part of a Multi-Client Account (MCA) or managed by a third party, it must first be converted into a standalone account before it can be deleted.

  1. Unlink the account: Contact Google Support to request that the sub-account be unlinked from its parent account. You will need to provide formal authorization. This process typically takes 24–48 hours.
  2. Close the account: After the account has been converted to a standalone, follow the steps to delete your standalone account.

Restore a deleted account

If you accidentally deleted your Merchant Center account, you may be able to restore it within 30 days. You will need to contact Google Support and provide formal authorization. Accounts deleted for more than 30 days usually can’t be recovered and will require you to create a new account.
