Reasons why the issue is happening

When you provide a video link, we process and check the video to ensure it meets our requirements. If there's a "Video not processed" issue, it's likely due to one of the following reasons:

  • Broken or inaccessible link: The URL provided may not lead to a valid video file, our access might be blocked (for example, by robots.txt), or the server hosting the video responded too slowly.
  • Pending crawl: The video is currently in the queue to be crawled and processed. This is typically a temporary state.
  • Issue with file size: The video file found at the link is either larger than the maximum download size or smaller than the minimum required.
  • Decoding or processing error: We were unable to decode the video format, or a technical error occurred on our end during processing.
  • Invalid duration: The video is either shorter than the minimum required length or longer than the maximum allowed.
  • Resolution too low: The video's visual resolution does not meet our minimum quality standards.
  • Invalid aspect ratio: The video's width-to-height ratio falls outside the acceptable range.
  • Video file too large: The size of the video file itself exceeds the allowed limit.

How to fix the issue

Review the URL format and video requirements for the video link [video_link] attribute and update your link to ensure the video meets all requirements.

If you’re not using a YouTube URL, ensure that your video URL points directly to a raw video file. It should not be a link to a landing page that contains the video player. After you have updated the links, it may take up to 3 days to process the update.

Note: If you need to change the video, we recommend that you change the video filename and URL.

Fix multiple products at once

  1. Go to Products in Merchant Center, then select the Needs attention tab.
  2. Use the filter icon above the table to find all products affected by your issue.
  3. Select the download icon to download a list (.csv) of all affected products for all issues or this particular issue.
  4. Cross-reference the downloaded list with your uploaded product data, and make sure that the affected products have video links to updated product videos (using the video link [video_link] attribute).
  5. Re-upload your corrected product data to Merchant Center using your chosen upload method.

Next steps

After making the requested changes, check that you've fixed the issue by making sure that the issue is no longer listed on the Needs attentionpage.

Note: It may take 24–72 hours for your change to be reflected.
