Loyalty program updates: Drive customer growth with expanded loyalty features

March 25, 2026

We are now expanding Loyalty program features to help you build stronger customer relationships and drive long-term growth. By integrating your loyalty benefits directly into your product listings, you can reward existing members and encourage new shoppers to join your program.

Personalizing ads for loyalty program members can lead to higher engagement. For example, some retailers have observed up to a 20% increase in click-through rates (CTR) when showing tailored offers to their existing loyal customers.

What’s changing

You can now showcase your unique member benefits across more surfaces and regions.

  • Highlight key perks: Showcase member pricing to display exclusive discounts and member shipping to feature special delivery options directly on your listings.

How to get started

Follow these steps to set up your loyalty program in Merchant Center:

  1. Activate the loyalty program add-on in your Merchant Center account.
  2. Add your loyalty program details, ensuring you include all member tiers and benefits.
  3. Set up specific benefits:
  4. Set up Customer Match lists in Google Ads. This is mandatory to show member shipping benefits and green strikethrough pricing for known members.
Note: Currently, a pilot is being run for US merchants to use Customer Match as a relationship data source for free listings. Contact our support team to request participation.
