About vehicle 'Price drop' annotations

The vehicle 'Price drop' annotation makes it easier for customers to understand when the price of your vehicles decreases significantly.

How it works

If you change the price of your vehicle to be lower than the average price that you listed in the past 30 days, Google can automatically show the vehicle 'Price drop' badge for this product. Vehicle 'Price drop' badges are designed to show only when there has been a significant drop to what has been a fairly stable price for a product.

Google determines which badge to show for your vehicle ad by comparing the current price of your vehicle with its historical prices submitted using your vehicle inventory feed. There's no change required for you to make in the feed.

Note: Price drop is not supported for 'Lease only' vehicles. The 'price' is the driver of the badge and doesn't consider the finance or lease instalment aspects in the vehicle offer.

How it is shown

Vehicle price drop annotations show as simple, concise badges that indicate a price reduction for your vehicle without specifying the amount or percentage of reduction.

Example: 'Price drop'

Note: Sale price annotations, price drop annotations and vehicle price drop annotations are different and have separate requirements. If your vehicle is also eligible for the low mileage annotation, Google will selectively annotate one badge for your vehicle based on priority.
Currently, the 'Filter' icon in the 'All products' tab in Merchant Centre doesn't show vehicles that are eligible for the vehicle price drop annotation.

Availability

Vehicle 'Price drop' annotations are currently available through mobile and desktop devices in Australia, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
