Understanding the products table

On the Products overview page, below the product history graph and recommendations panel, you'll find a detailed table listing all your individual products. This table helps you quickly sort, filter, and inspect specific items in your catalog. It shows important details about each product, helping you understand its current state.

  • Visibility lets you know if your product is currently appearing in ads or free listings on Google. It might show if a product is "Visible" or "Not Visible."
  • Status tells you about the health of your product data itself, such as if it's "Approved," "Disapproved," or "Pending review." Products can be disapproved if their landing pages are unavailable or if checkout URLs are incorrect.
    • Note: The difference is that a product can have an "Approved" status (meaning its data is good), but still be "Not Visible" if there are other issues, like policy violations or the store view is unavailable.
  • Price shows the current price of your product.
  • Clicks tell you how many times users have clicked on your product listing.
  • Source indicates where the product data came from, for example, a data source or a direct upload.

Product attributes that can be viewed in the product list include:

Column Description
Visibility Shows if your product appears on Google or not
Status Shows if Google has approved your product, disapproved your product, or other statuses
Image An image of the product
Title The title of the product
Product ID The unique identifier assigned to your product

Last update When your product was last updated
Stores The websites or online stores where your product is sold

  • To filter the product list: Select the filter icon , then make your selections.
  • To find your products: Use the search bar to search for products by various attributes such as brand, GTIN, MPN, product type and category.
  • To download the product list: Select the download icon in the upper right corner of the table.

Understanding product counts

In your Merchant Center, select Products in the left navigation menu, then the “All products” tab.

Below the product history graph and 'What to do next' panel, you will find filter cards that provide a high-level count of your products. When you select the cards, the product list is filtered to show the list of products counted on the card. The card types include:

Total products

All products in Merchant Center. This includes all products provided directly by you, plus any additional products that Google found on your online store.

Not showing on Google

All products that are under review, processing, not approved, or those you’ve chosen to hide on Google.

Note: Merchant Center and Shopping Content API (SCAPI) count products differently, which can cause confusion. Merchant Center counts each product only one time, while SCAPI counts each product multiple times if it's sold in multiple countries. This difference will likely persist for a long time, so be aware of it when comparing product counts between the 2 platforms.

Viewing your product details

You can view your product details by clicking on one of the products in the product page. When you click on a specific product, you can view all the attributes added for that product.

  • You can view critical product details like product image, title, description, visibility, approval status and price.
  • Merchants can change product visibility, edit product details, or delete their product in the product details page.
