Before you begin
- Identify which products support next-day delivery.
- Identify the cut-off times for the participating shops. You might need to set up a few next-day delivery services to accommodate for multiple time zones. Time zones are based on the Merchant Center settings that you provide, not the user location.
- Determine your fees structure, including the delivery fee. We currently don't support additional fees, hence the best practice is to add up all the fees and pass it to Google as one delivery fee (Range-based delivery fee is supported).
- Define delivery distance per shop. If the delivery radius varies, you may either set up a separate next-day delivery service or opt for a conservative radius.

Instructions
Set up next-day delivery for online product listings
You can set up next-day delivery for online product listings using the standard delivery service with a few changes in handling and transit time. In addition, within the same 'Standard delivery' next-day delivery service, you can use the transit time to include destinations eligible for next-day delivery while excluding other destinations.
Create a new delivery policy
- In your Merchant Center account, select Delivery and returns.
- Click Add delivery policy.
- Select Delivery for online products.
Add your delivery information
In the 'Countries' page, select an eligible country. As you proceed to 'Products', select the products that share delivery costs and delivery options and if it's All products or Specific products.
Delivery times
- Select Enter specific delivery times manually.
- Select an order cut-off time. This is the specific time or the number of hours before which a customer can place an order that will be eligible for next-day delivery.
- Also, select the time zone in which this time is calculated (based on Merchant Center settings, not user location).
- For 'Handling time (days)', enter the minimum/maximum number of days required for processing an order as 1/1.
- For 'Transit time (days)', enter the minimum/maximum number of days required for order transit as 1/1.
- If your transit times differ based on the destination, select Destination by zone and add specific destinations that these settings apply to. For more information, refer to Regional availability and pricing.
Delivery costs
- In the 'Delivery cost' page, select your currency, as well as your 'Order value conditions'.
- Select the 'Delivery cost type' that you charge your customers for same-day delivery services. Options include:
- Free delivery
- Flat rate
- Price
- Carrier (available in USD currency only)
- Weight
- Destination
- Number of items
- Advanced cost table (uncommon)
- Click Save.
If only a subset of your products is available for next-day delivery, use a delivery label to tag available offers, and indicate the name of the delivery label in the advanced settings when creating a delivery rate table.
Verification
It is important to validate your delivery settings to ensure a positive customer experience. Google verifies next-day delivery services added by retailers, so make sure that the details match what's mentioned on your site. Next-day delivery must be advertised and mentioned on both your website and in the checkout flow.
It might take up to 72 hours for Google to review the settings. If there is an issue with the next-day delivery settings, the administrator of your Merchant Center account will receive an email with instructions on how to resolve the issue.
