In order to enable local inventory ads or free local listings in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, you must submit an impressum (about page) for each applicable country.
An impressum has specific requirements in accordance with Article 5 of the EU E-Commerce Directive as implemented by local laws. These requirements mandate that the webpage hosted at your impressum must contain the following information:
- A physical address
- Contact information, such as phone number and/or email address
- The location where your company is registered
- Any industry-specific registration, license, or authorization (Germany and Austria only)
You can also use this page to display any additional information, such as information required by local laws.
Provide your impressum
If you have already onboarded into local inventory ads or free local listings, follow the steps below to provide your impressum:
In your Merchant Center account, select Settings
in the left navigation menu.
Select Add-ons and go to Your add-ons tab.
In the “Local inventory ads” or "Free local listings" card, select Go to Local inventory ads or Go to Free local listings.
Next to the country you wish to review, select Review setup status.
Select Add impressum (about page).
Add the Impressum URL from your website.

Once you have added your impressum, your local inventory ads or free local listings can begin to appear.
