You can present live video from your camera in a Google Meet video meeting to showcase objects and create interactive presentations.
You can also connect to a document camera to share physical documents in a Google Meet.

Turn on the present from a camera setting
Important:
- If this setting isn't enabled, you'll not be able to select a camera as a presentation option.
- Make sure you’re connected to an additional video-conferencing or virtual camera.
- Join a Google Meet video meeting.
- At the bottom, click More options
Settings
General.
- In the “General” tab, turn on Share content from camera.
- If the computer plays audio that the microphone associated with the camera captures, enable “Use Meet's audio signal processing for the audio associated with the camera content” to avoid an echo.
- Recommended: If you’re not sure about how audio processing works, we recommend you to keep this option turned OFF.
- At the top right of the dialogue box, click Close
. You've now enabled the option to select a camera when you present.
Present from a camera during a video meeting
Important: Make sure you enable the present from a camera setting before you follow the instruction below:
- In a video meeting, at the bottom of the meeting screen, click Present now

- Select your document camera or other external camera and audio input (if necessary).
- Click Share.
Ingest content from a video production tool
Important:
- Make sure you enable the present from a camera setting before you follow the instruction below:
- You can present live video from your video production tool.
- This is recommended when you share a produced video material that has more dynamic content than the usual speaker webcam video.
- The content is always uncropped, and encoded with resolution of up to 1080p, and a frame rate of up to 30FPS.
- In a meeting invite, click Join.
- In the greenroom, under “Other joining options,” click Use Companion mode.
- At the bottom of the meeting screen, click Present now

- Click Share.
