To ensure a more reliable experience for users, Maps on Android will no longer work on app version 10.15 or below and will no longer provide new releases for Android 7.1 or below after July 2024.

Update Android app versions
If your app version is 10.15 or below, and your device is Android 7.2 and above:
- Update to a newer version of Google Maps.
- Visit google.com/maps in your mobile browser to use Web Google Maps.
- Download Maps Go
Update issues
If you can't update your app, your version of Android OS no longer supports the newer version of the Google Maps app (if your device is on Android version 7.1 or below and your app version is 10.15 or below).
- To get the latest Android Google Maps app, update to the latest Android OS.
- Visit google.com/maps in your mobile browser to use Web Google Maps.
Resolve issues with broken links
1. On your mobile device, open the Play Store app .
2. In the Play Store, search for Google Maps.
3. At the top right, tap Update.
Tip: If you can't update the app, open google.com/maps in your browser.
